Aniza Aladin was named the Sugandoi Kaamatan champion for Keningau
Yoku le Humarap is winning song in Keningau Kaamatan song contest

KENINGAU : Aniza Aladin was named the Sugandoi Kaamatan champion for Keningau recently and will represent the district at the state level Sugandoi Kaamatan or singing competition at the end of May at the Hongkod Koisaan Penampang. The civil servant from Kg Bariawa Ulu defeated nine others with her rendition of Yoku le Humarap and Kaamatan Norikut Kawagu. Nur Hidayuh Taufick from Kg Tudan Baru came in second with her cover versions of Kandaman Piginavaan and Ama om Apa. In third place was Abd Sakril Sidek who sang Sinding Pomusarahan and Kitimbok Tingur Bulawan. Seven others who qualified to the finals were Sandra Lazarus,Christina Liew,Rohisyah Saile,Nurul Fidya Eyana,Irwan Jahari,Petrus Subiew and Benedict Saidi. The panel of judges chaired by Willie Tadam consisted of Albert Mark Maguring, a music lecturer from the Keningau Teacher’s Institute,Katherine Kindasan and Halim J Angusi who are both music teachers from SMK Keningau II. – MARUTIN ANSIUNG.
